Formerly a coaching Inn, the 17th Century Swan Hotel in Grasmere was referred to in Wordsworth's poem The Waggoner. It is from 'The Waggoner' that the hotel's restaurant takes its name from serving great food a charming ambience. With its relaxing atmosphere, the Swan offers a welcome break from the rat race. With log fires in the Winter, conference facilities, drying facilities and a walker's bar everyone is catered for at the Swan.
